if so can u please tell me who u used, how are the prices etc thanks who is most affordable

My experiences have been limited to Alamo (which I hated and refuse to use again no matter how cheap their cars are), Avis (good but not the best prices) and National. I like to use National because I'm an Emerald Aisle member, so I can skip the counter and go right to my car. I also have had very good luck getting reasonal rates on their website using the codes found on MouseSavers.com and coupons from the Entertainment Book.

Another vote for National. I am also an Emerald Aisle member. I recommend go to www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html. Make sure to keep checking the rental car's website for your dates. I have made reservations and then keep checking and if it goes lower just make a new reservation and cancel the old one. Hope this helps.

I am an Emerald Club member. You can join at no cost via the link on www.mousesavers.com
I vary between Alamo (I am a Qucik Silver member there) and National. Depends on what coupon, code and rate I have.
The least expensive wins.

I've used Alamo with my Quicksilver membership and my experience was fine. They processed my paperwork quickly and I had my choice of cars.

I've also used Budget and had a great experience with them. I reserved an economy but was upgraded for free to a mid-size (an Accent to a Grand Am). The people at the counter were very friendly.

where do you jin the emerald members cuz i did not see it

I vote for National too. When I went to Hawaii in June someone tipped me off the a website that has lots of discount codes for rental cars:

www.rentalcodes.com

I tried several codes just this morning for a car in Oct. and got one for 3 days for $82. (National)

I've had great luck with Dollar (and mousesavers.com codes) at MCO. The last time we were down the lines were long at Dollar and there was no line at L&M so I went over with my confirmation and asked if they'd match, they did and we had no problems with them. :)

Have used Alamo and National with good luck. Just got full size for 9/23/04-9/30/04 (8 days) for $153 total with a coupon from pricless for a free day. Don't think I can get it for less unless we rent later and return earlier since the day they call day 8 is really just two hours past the time we pick it up.. Even at that I am happy happy happy with this price. Only had one difficulty with Alamo and that was a salesperson who tried to push the insurance. You do have to be adamant about not taking it if that is your plan. My origianl reservation was $202 but I keep checking for new codes and discounts and have lowered it a total of 3 times now. Keep checking right up to your trip time.

My full size for 8 days with BJ's coupon (20.00) and the BJ's code is 135.82. Full size, all taxes.
My friend's have a full size 10 days, Sam's coupon (20.00) sam's code, all taxes = 178.96.
This is with Alamo.

Mad4themouse, you have great ideas and suggestions. ONe question- I joined Nationals, Emerald Aisle four years ago. I paid $50 for the membership. Is that per year? Or is that for a lifetime membership? I saw the post about joining for free from mousesavers.com. If once you join you dont have to keep paying, I guess I already am a member. I just havent received any info from them in ages, I thought my membership expired.
Thanks, Dee  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I just joined the Emerald Aisle club & it seems the membership said it was good for many years (something like 20 years...or I could have just been very sleepy when I did it online!).

If you have your membership # still, I'd just try putting it in one website. If it works, it should go through & start asking you what resv you want to make.

Love the National Emerald Aisle. I always choose the oddest looking car I can find. It makes it easier to find in parking lots and I get to try out different vehicles.

Very convenient to be able to just drag your bag across the driveway. Orlando is one of my favorite airports for renting cars. (Now their baggage handling is a whole different story.)

I travel often for business at government rates. National is the only company I have found that will consistently beat that rate with the Emerald Club discounts.

Dollar fan here. Been using them exclusively for the last four years after using off-site for a while. Once you go on-site, you'll never go back (to off-site). I also use the Fastlane program for Dollar. Allows me to skip any long lines. Walk across the street to the parking garage and you are on your way.

Also, when you sign up for Fastlane, you get a free rental car upgrade coupon. Good luck with your decision.

I have been a member for years and have never paid for it at all.
I joined for free and have never seen a yearly bill.
The Emerald Club is great.
