Airplane seat for a two year old

Does a two year old need her own seat on a airplane? Thanks for your help.

Yes they do. At the age of 24 months is when they stop flying for free.

TBH, we ALWAYS put our little one in her own seat even when she was old enough to double up with Mom or Dad. The prospect of having to hold a kid for a 4 hour flight in the ridiculously crowded cheap seats was some thing neither of us relished. But we did have to PAY for the "luxury."
