*Airplane Crashes Into NYC Apt. Building*

Anyone have any info on whats going on? I have friends who live in NYC and I'm really worried sick. Please help!!!

There's a long thread on the community board with lots of info. It was on 72nd street and York Ave. An aircraft hit a condo building. It is half condo, half medical offices and a surgical center. 2 bodies were found, one still attached to the aircraft seat. There is also aircraft debri and lugguge on the ground. The aircraft hit around the 39yth floor of a 50 story building. It hit then there was a fire ball but the building is intact. There are reports people are trapped in the building. NORAD has been sent to cover the city just in case as well as other cities in the US. No ones knows many other details yet. DH called and thankfully he was on the other side of the city at the time and is on his way home. My nerves are shot! This is too much for us being that DH saw the 2nd plane hit on 9/11. I worry so much about him!!!

Just to add to what Desnik said, it was NOT terrorist related and appears to be a very tragic accident. 4 people are dead, including the pilot who was a NY Yankee relief pitcher. Very scary and sad for all involved
