I bought two 7 day park tickets through AirMiles for my parents for our upcoming trip in November. My wife our two children were all going buy annual passes this year since we'll be heading down 2 more times over the next 12 months. My parents are only going for the one trip.

With the new Canadian discount on tickets, I have moved the two AirMiles tickets from my parents to my wife and I. I looking to be able to upgrade those AirMiles Tickets to an Annual Passes.

*Question #1

When I upgrade to an annual pass, will I get the Non-Discounted value for those AirMiles tickets or will Disney only give me the Canadian discounted value?

*Question #2

Before I upgrade the AirMiles tickets to AP will I have to activate them by going into the park first, and then upgrade them on day two...similar to what people with 3rd party discounted tickets do to get full value for tickets?

Thanks!

1) Since the tickets you get from Airmiles are the same tickets you get anywhere else and there is no indication where or how you *purchased* them, you can bridge them in the same manner. The current 25% offer leaves you with a voucher-ish thing that you need to present at a guest service desk with your Canadian ID to activate it.

2) My understanding on how & when you upgrade them to anything else -- best to activate it once so that it is linked to you. You don't need to wait until your next visit you could then immediately go to the guest service within whichever park you're in and upgrade it right away (that way you can use your AP discounts)

Have a wonderful trip(s)!
