Airmiles scheme changing - warning!

From later on this year, Airmiles will be called AVIOS instead. The major change for long haul flights will be that you must now pay the airport fees and taxes yourself, so for a family flying to the States this could work out to a LOT of money.

I wanted to warn anyone who may be saving their Tesco clubcard points for free flights - try to do it before the change.

interesting - I had an email from British Airways to tell me that my "executive club" was changing to AVIOS too.

I guess they must be merging. That should make it fairly easy to earn them now, as well as giving more ways to spend them
