Can the pass vouchers be updated for a better pass. I assume the passes are for regular expiring passes. Can they be upgraded to park hopper and or non expiring passes. Can the passes also be upgraded to an annual pass?

TIA

I looked into using my Airmiles for passes last year, and decided against it as at that time they were only offering 5 day passes with no options.
I am not sure if once you get there you can add the options or not, but I decided against it because the gate prices are expensive and I didn't want to get down there to discover that what I had was of not much value or was going to cost me a ton of money to upgrade.

The answer to your question remains an unknown.

Disney has reverted to the policy where trading up values the ticket you already have at some wholesale value and you pay the difference compared with a gate purchased ticket with the additional features you want.

Apparently MYW tickets purchased directly through Disney, including at an advance purchase discount, are still valued at gate price for trading up to another MYW ticket.

I upgraded the previous tickets airmiles offered to AP's without issue and received just about full face value.

These are tickets that the aimiles "travel Agency" orders from Disney and they are basically the price of an advanced purchase ticket. Therefore the amount that is credited is still a good value.

When I upgraded mine the same rule was in place as far as giving the upgrade value based on what was paid for the ticket.

Just upgrade passes in January to AP's. No problem. They just charged you the difference between the value AM bought them at, to what you want to change them to. The AP was a $70AM upgrade from the no expire, 7 day hopper.

I upgraded an Airmiles 7 day no expiry magic your way park hopper with water parks (3330 airmiles) to a 10 day MYW hopper no expiry ,no extras for about $32.00 US. I did it at the ticket window at MGM and the CM upgraded my Airmiles ticket to the gate price (no charge) and then upgraded the new ticket to the 10 day ticket for a total of $32.00! Good times.

Thanks for the information.
one more question.

Do the vouchers/ tickets that are purchased from airmiles need to be redeemed by a certain date. Not planning on travelling until this fall and the airmiles offer might not be available then.

The tickets that you receive are exactly the tickets you would get if you bought them at the gate. I did not see any expiry dates on the ticket. That said, I lucked into an Airmiles 'Sale' in October of 2005 where a 5 day base adult ticket was only 1650 airmiles (regular 2105). The sale was on between October 1-30. I only noticed the sale when I happened to proceed to shopping cart and the discount was taken at the register, so to speak. If you do wait until closer to your vacation, it may be worthwhile to have Airmiles send the tickets via Purolater or fed ex at your expense. this seems to expedite the process. ( anything that is under 1700 airmiles is sent out regular mail, or that is what I was told by airmiles rep.) HTH

Have the prices gone down.
Looking at the spring/summer magazine and they list the 5 day pass for 1690 and 7 day pass for 1745 airmiles. Or are they on 'special' for a limited time.

I don't know if they have gone down, however on the airmiles website they 5 day adult is 2105 and the child 5 day is 1690. I would call and confirm their pricing because maybe there IS a sale!
