So I called again when I received this basic card. Go through the whole thing again. This person says that she can do nothing except cancel my account and then I'm able to reapply for the Elite card. I say no, that is not what was discussed and offered to me. She argues with me, saying no one would make that offer as they can't. Again, I'm put on a loooong hold. She comes back saying that she has escalated my complaint and I will get a call back from a manager in 12-48 hrs once they review the previous phone call to see what in fact was said....they still have not called me. She then says that if I was in fact offered what I said they will honour it. My response was, yes go ahead and review the call because right now you are basically calling me a liar which I do not appreciate.
I guess I have to call again.
