Well what a night.
Cocoa as gone all out aggressive and is prowling along the patio window to the breakfast room. She yowling and hissing.
I have no other room to put Miles in and this looks right into the backyard.
I feel so bad for Miles as he is used to going outside. Being locked up must be horrible for him.
Then Cocoa came in she got aggressive with Andrew and I which she has never done before.
How did I get into this situation.
Experts are saying this could take months and months........................ and it may not work.
I have to say in my heart of hearts that I can not do this for months and months and I don't feel it's fair the either cat at this point.
Maybe the best option for Miles is to surrender him for Rehoming ? Adoption?.
Do I have that right or should I have Son do this?
Edited : to add my oldest son has lost his housing and he and I do not have a
good relationship.

So sorry. Start by telling son that it's just not going to work out at your house. Maybe he has someone else who can take the cat. Miles is his responsibility.

In the background, what about contacting the SPCA and see if they have foster homes that could take the cat until son is back on his feet. In this day and age they might have such a program or suggestions for you that you could pass on to son.

If the two cats got along, that is one thing but you can't upset Cocoa's whole existence so help someone else out. Some cats are one cat household type cats.

Update
I went into my Vets office today for a Chat with the Vet Technician. Cocoa is my priority and she feels with Cocoa's History & personality that integrating the two cats is not possible.
We will keep Miles seperated from Cocoa ,, his room is 14x14. I have put as many things in the room to make it homey as possible,,, indoor cat house and cushion which he seems to like lounging on.
We made a tent under a side table and put a cat bed there for him.
He has a round catnip scratcher and a box full of toys, We got a screen protector for my never used IPAd and play Cat TV for him.
He has a stool,, table and lounge for watching outside. We are letting him into the Livingroom and kitchen when Cocoa is out.
For now I am taking the responsibility of Fostering Miles as long as I can with no promises.

I want to come back as a cat in your house. That setup sounds amazing. Hopefully it won't be for too long.

Do you have any friends or relatives nearby who could take Miles on. He seems like a really chill cat.

That's a pretty dedicated attempt. Good luck with it. I don't see anything wrong with housing the little guy like that. It's a lot more space than he would get going to the cat hotel. If by chance you have to send him away there is a cat hotel in Oakville that might be able to help you out. We had to send my aunt's cats there for three months while she was in rehab....that was for a broken leg not the other kind of rehab.

I’m not sure what it’s actually called but I’m sure you can find it easily through google. It might be called the Cat Castle. It is located on Bronte Rd.

Has anyone bought the travel insurance through air miles that protects their miles? How does that all work? Say I use miles for flights, resort and park passes and I can't go. Do I get all of my air miles back?

Thanks @bababear_50. I saw that. Tells me I have to call them. I think the insurance is through manulife. I recall when I booked flights in the past there was an option at checkout to add miles protection. I will have to call next week.

Something tragic happened on Friday in a house three doors down from us. A young woman was murdered by her boyfriend. It’s a very sad situation. I’m finding today that there’s an awful lot of cars driving by just for a little look and it’s a bit disturbing. I’m not able to go further than my back deck since my surgery or in my living room looking at my window. The police presence is insane, but I’m very glad they’re here in hopes that it will deter the traffic. It doesn’t seem to be working.

PS Miles Kitty did the backdoor escape and after an hour returned.
Phew not going through that again.
All is back to semi normal.

Well we had a royal time. We determined that our knight was a lover not a fighter as he lost all his jousting battles. And my sister and I spent the show waving, clapping and cheering for our knight every time he rode by us. During the show the knights throw flowers into the crowd and he tossed one to me. Yup pointed right at me and threw it so now I have a beautiful red mum in a bud vase.
The show and food were stupendous and our group had a great time and it was easy peasy for us to get there via GO Transit.
