I was working through the Flash offer today.

1. Lottery tickets bought in the Shell store. 5 AM
2. Amazon GC bought at Dollarama with my linked BMO card 1 AM (well, this is the second this month, so should be 50)
3. Bought ice cream and scanned the receipt 5 AM BUT got a message that they didn't recognize the retailer (Freshmart) so, apparently no points for me. I was hoping not to have to do an airmilesshops shop, but apparently, I do.

So did you get an email with the same type of info shown above? I've scanned thru the entire thread since the offer started an no-one else has mentioned anything yet.

I just went through my Trash bin and I did not get an email like that.

while you will get 5 Bonus Airmiles for the lottery tickets I don't think you will get 1 Base Airmile needed.
I clicked on the 3 stars and found the above conditions.

I could be wrong and maybe others could also post their experience.

I get 1 airmile for every $5 of lotto tickets I get at shell. I know what the terms say but they still give me airmiles

Thanks for the heads up. The T&C say earn a reward mile (not base), so I might be okay. I don't think that I could have got the 20L of gas in the car. Le sigh. I did do an amazon shop, so that along with the Dollarama will count.

My two online shops yesterday posted. My TSC and I ordered a new kettle from Walmart, I had tried to find it in store but they didn't have the red one so I ordered it online (on sale for $14.97!) And added some face primer to get to the necessary total to earn 1 AM. I will probably get the kid some clothes off amazon next week for back to school, best place to get him tshirts and underpants lol. That will be 3 for the month so lots of bonus points.

While that's true that your are able to earn miles for buying lotto tickets at shell right now, those are BONUS miles. The bonus offer that's going on until 11:59:59 tonight is only based on BASE miles earned. Shell doesn't award those on lottery purchases.

ETA‐it appears as shown below that there are in fact, lottery purchases that earn BASE miles! Colour me surprised

Huh, THAT has never happened for me! Happy that it worked for your because that would be a chunk of miles left on the table otherwise. Curious as to which kind of tickets you bought, we only ever get tickets that occasionally have bonus miles and it never triggered base miles.

They discontinued base miles on lottery a long time ago. Perhaps this was just some sort of glitch. I really hope it works out this time but I wouldn’t count on it.

Maybe someone could go and check the Shell site for exclusions.

Has anyone received their Redeem Big Event airmiles yet? I got an email on Tuesday saying I earned 1750 and to check my balance. I still haven't received them yet.

I got my 250AM on August 1. I had ordered the first day of the Event.

I am assuming the Flash weekend “earn 2 or 3 different ways” and the airmilesships “shop 3 stores” will overlap with each other - nice. I ordered from Amazon, Well.ca, and Walmart. And I think I earned 1AM from BMO Costco bonus. Who knows if I will get either promo - but thank goodness for this group so we can remind each other!!

I wasn't taking any chances with the two promotions being able to be combined. I did the Flash offer on 3 cards on the weekend. Still waiting for some of those AM to post (come on Dollarama) Then today I did the Airmileshops offer on DH account. Just waiting for my notification to go and pick up one more item.

I'll get DH to ONYX yet. I want to be able to convert his Dream miles to Cash so I can use them to pay for gas (I still take the equivalent saved when he does this and put it aside for my Disney travel)

i did dollarama for a disney gift card to use on our last trip of the Year of Disney. Started on my birthday and will end with celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.

2nd - Scanned a receipt that the system picked up 2 of the 3 pizzas (not fighting for the lost 5 miles, more effort than it's worth)

3rd was an order with well .ca . I'm worried about that one since I got an email this morning stating that one item was out of stock so they charged my credit card for less. Still comes in just over $50 but if that means the transaction doesn't trigger yesterday's date I'll need to chase down the extra big bonus

Off Airmiles topic but I just read on a blog I get that Disney will be closing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island to make way for the new Cars themed ride. Glad I got one last ride on the riverboat in April.
