Last June we really liked being able to check in and leave or luggage at the port. We traveled with USAIR. This June we are traveling with USAIR agian (assuming they are still around, keeping my fingers crossed  ) Does anyone know if USAIR still has a check in at the port?

Not positive about US-Air still at port, but you do have to purchase Disney transfers to use the service now.

Does any one know what other airlines have check-in at the port? We are traveling jetblue. Thank You

Thanks drcavin...we do have Disney transfers...anyone know about USAIR at port? :confused3

I do not believe Jet Blue has a check in at the port.....

I know United (I think Ted), American, Delta (including song)...not sure about others.

It is hard to remember all the airlines that are there...especially any that you didn't use....anyone have an idea how I might find out???

Hi,

As of Thursday, the airlines with check in counters at the Port are: Northwest, Continental, Delta, US Airways & American. I wrote down all the airlines for future reference.

Hope this helps.

Can somebody explain what this means? Does this mean that when our cruise is over, and we are getting ready to go to the airport that day we can check in at the port prior to leaving to the airport?? How does this work?

I would also like to know! that is great information to have. We are on Magic this weekend... 2/26.

Thanks! Tammy

You get off the ship,
A porter gets your luggage,
Tell him what airline and he will bring your luggage to the airline's checkin counter,
You then check in just like you were at the airport.
You're all set then you just go to your gate at the airport.

I did this on my second cruise with disney and it worked well.
However my last cruise over Christmas Disney got CHEAP and now you can only do it if you buy their transfers.

The transfers only make sense for two people any more you can rent a car go have lunch then drive to the airport.

I did e-mail DCL about this and got a canned thanks for cruising reply.

This is a great service! We are doing theh Disney Express Service when we arrive at Orlando for a 6 night stay at WDW prior to our cruise and we are excited about that and now with this service we are even more excited. Takes away the hassle of havign to stand in long annyoing airport lines and having to haul our luggage everywhere, which I hate!

Be forewarned.....the airline check in lines at the port can be VERY LONG...AND VERY HOT (since they are outside, under a cover though) depending on how many other travellers are on your particular airline. We have waited over an hour to check in and another time only waited a few minutes....all depends on the luck of the draw that day.

But the above poster is right, now you MUST have purchased DCL transfers in order to use this check in service.

::MickeyMo Thanks so much for the info POCONO....
This service is Great.....I also think that if only those that purchased DCL transfers can use this service, then the lines will be shorter/quicker.
