Just a quick question regarding tickets. Last time we flew I booked plane tickets through TA and when available just picked up at TA office. This time I booked the flights threw Southwest online. I received an email confirming the flight but nothing about how I would obtain the tickets. Does anyone know if they mail them closer to the date or if I would just print off the email and bring it with me. The email does not have a bar code or anything, just confirmation of the itinerary.

You don't need tickets. You can (a) check in to your flight online, the day before and print your boarding passes or (b) show up to the airport and print them there as you put your bags in the check in.

I haven't had airline tickets for years. The key information you need is your confirmation number.

Like Ted said, paper tickets went bye-bye long ago. On our last couple of flights our boarding passes were on our phones! Have a great trip.:)

Glad you mentioned that...I have an iPhone with a Delta App and the Tripit App which I can use to check in on-line. If I do this will I get boarding passes for all of us? I have done the on-line booking before with a computer and printed them before but the iPhone is new. Any suggestions or advice would be geat

I have the United app and have successfully used it for boarding passes. Some locations/routes still require you to get a boarding pass at the counter at the airport. YMMV.:)
