Airline ticket question?

Just another question. Does anyone know when you can start checking airline prices. We are not cruising until May 2003, but was wondering when I could start checking prices for airline tickets. Also, does anyone know who has the cheapest airfare?

I believe the airlines book something like up to 350 days in advance. It's not quite a year....

Who has the cheapest airfare really depends on where you're flying from

Try checking flight prices at an online site like www.orbitz.com or under the travel section of www.yahoo.com They'll show you the cheapest option no matter which airline it is.

Try also the airline sites. It worked for us as I had e-mails coming to us for specials. Delta had a special for a few days only, something like for three/four /five days only, but got tickets for $149 round trip from San Francisco to Orlando.

BTW it was bought july/august, 2001, for April 2002 trip.

We used to always book via Orbitz until they started charging a $10 fee. Now we use them as our search engine and then, when we find a good fare, we go to the airline website and book it there. I like Orbitz, but since they are financed by the airlines anyway, I don't see why I should pay the $10. I have never had a problem finding the same deal I found on Orbitz when going to the airline's own website (we generally fly ATA, American, and United). I book WAY far in advance, as soon as I find a good deal. All our trips this year except for Thanksgiving weekend already have the air booked, and I check Thanksgiving every day watching for a decent deal.

Thanks for your help. I will have to check orbitz out. We have 409 days left I wish it was this May. I will be flying out of the lovely city of Chicago. I wish I could sail as often as Barb I will keep an eye out for those deals. Every little bit helps. You have a great Easter trip Barb!!!!!!
