I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question. I was checking on allears.net and noticed a place to check for airline tickets. They mentioned to try and use lowestfare.com. Has anyone used this site before? Have you had any problems with this site? We normally use travelocity or expedia.

Thanks

I'm not sure where you live but airtran (East coast) has non-stop flights to Orlando for us for about $90 each way..including taxes. They are the cheapest by far. BUT...I have found that Yahoo travel has the best prices for 99% of the airlines. If you fly Delta though they tend to be about $5 cheaper roundtrip on their website then Yahoo. Good luck!! :thumbsup2

The best thing to do is look at these other sites then go to the airline that you are interested in flying. Usually you can find those rates cheaper when you are dealing with the airline. No middle man to deal with that way.

Thanks for your help. I ended up booking tickets on NWA. We got flights for 152.00 from St Louis to Orlando in July.

Glad you found something... for those still looking:

A good place to start is a metasearch engine like kayak.com, sidestep.com, or Yahoo!FareChase.com

These websites will show you fares for all different airlines, and once you select which one you want it takes you directly to the airline's website. This way you're purchasing the ticket directly from the airline (no hidden fees) and you're eligible for any mileage bonuses the airline might offer (booking bonus, etc).

They are reliable and the airlines work directly with them to provide the fares.

Travelocity did direct me towards a great deal with United 153.00 round trip from Philly to MCO 12/30 to 1/8. Take note that we were considering driving (cheap wife) and were debating flying. During that 36 hour window I kept checking the rates and the airfare changed from 137.00 to 187.00 to 143.00 to 162.00 to 153.00 finally I ended the debate and booked the trip. And our flights are at good times no early mornings or late nights. 1:45 PM going down and 4:40 PM coming home.
