Last night while doing my usual “surfing” I priced a hire car from Airline Network. We want a Full Size Four Door (FDAR) car it for two weeks in October. The price was £282 including the insurance upgrade.

I then noticed the following on the page:

“Car & Unlimited mileage, LDW, SLI, Under and Uninsured Motorist Protection, State & Local Tax, Airport Tax, and all CFC's & HSFs ** APRIL DEAL!! ** ICAR Upgraded to FCAR IDAR Upgraded to FDAR & FDAR Upgraded to MVAR”
I read it that if I book a Four Door Full Size; I get upgraded to a MVAR (Seven Seater Minivan).

Unfortunately Airline Network does not agree! I phoned and was told that the upgrade was reflected in the price, if I booked a Four Door Full Size that is what I would get.

Am I being dumb about this or are they not exactly telling the truth?

Just had a look because I am just getting around to hiring a car and I do see what you mean. It could be a bit confusing.
Having said that I have dealt with them a few times before and always had good service. The prices are about as good as you can get these days as well.

AllStatesCarHire.com does a "price match - £5.00" offer, I am waiting to hear back from them.

I'll tell you in October! They came back to me with a price-match less £5.00 so I have booked it at £277.00. The "voucher" is with Dollar so I can't see there being any problems.
