Airline holiday fare question

Am I correct in assuming that at this point, there will probably be no "deals" on airfare for Christmas week?? We've already made plans to drive, but if the right deal were to come up (like $1000 or less for the five of us), we might reconsider.

If you are lucky you might phone in or log on their website the moment the airline has a fare sale or offers more seats in its low fare seat allotment or has a cancellation from another family.

Usually, 331 days in advance, there are some seats at the everyday low price (class U on Delta) on every flight every day.

However the chances of fares being as low as $1000. for all five of you are very slim.

We always fly over the christmas holiday and book at the 331 day window to get the best prices. Paid 225 for direct flight from NYC.
My guess would be your chances are slim and none. You might get lucky if you make 3/4 connections and fly in the middle of the night.

I would plan on driving. See you at WDW.
