We fly out of a NY airport on 3/31/10.

Per the 2010 Farmers Almanac, March in the NorthEast will be snowy and rainy and on 3/31/10 it is supposed to rain/snow.
If true, we will have a bit of turbulance - :scared1: I am a bit afraid of flights in the rain and snow.

Does anyone believe or rely on the Farmers Almanac for weather patterns ?
Has the Farmer Almanac been very reliable and accurate ?

The Farmers Almanac says the weather for our days April 1 thru April 9, is supposed to be sunny and warm in the South East :goodvibes and a thurderstorm on April 10th the day we leave.
But I will assume if the Farmers Almanac is correct the thunderstorm will occur in the afternoon and our flight leaves MCO @ 11:55 AM, so we will miss the turbulance. ;)

I think it is difficult to predict the weather a day in advance, let alone at the end of March.

I tracked the 7 day forecast for our trip in November, for the entire week before, and each day it changed dramatically. One day it would say it was going to rain Tuesday, the next day Thursday, the next day, it said Tuesday was supposed to be sunny and 85, the next day it said Tuesday was partly cloudy and 82.... and on and on and on.

I would wait until it gets closer to the date, like the day before, and keep aware of both the weather and the airport closings/delays.
