When I buy my tickets on Northwest, if the fare decreases before I fly they send me credit vouchers for futures flights for the difference. Does Continental do this, as well??

I'm a frequent flyer with Continental and I've never heard Continental doing this. MOF, I purchased a RT ticket to MCO from Houston for $197 about 6 weeks ago and it was recently on sale for $176 but no credit voucher from Continental  and I doubt I'll see one anytime soon.

I've gotten credit vouchers from US Air in the past, but I always have to call and request them. They don't just send them automatically.

We just booked our tickets with Northwest, and when I talked to the agent on the phone, I asked her that specific question. She told me to keep checking the price of tickets daily, and if the price went down to call the customer service number and they would give me a credit for the discount on all of the tickets. The thing she stressed, though, is that they do not automatically apply the credit--you have to call and request it. The credit, like most, would need to be used within a year, but hey, I'll take discounts any way I can get them!

SWA sent me a check for the difference.
Not sure as to other airlines.
I would check before I put my money down.

I should have stated this originally, but I have to call Northwest before they issue me credit vouchers, they are not sent automatically. However, they are always happy to send the vouchers.

While southwest does sometimes issue refunds, their official policy is a voucher for future flights. DISers have reported mixed success with getting a refund, so I wouldn't assume you'll get one in the future.

I had a Continental flight that dropped $150 in price. I called them and they charged me $100 to reticket and then gave me a voucher for $150. This outfit does not know what customer service is
