Hello all!

I am an airline employee wanting to book two rooms for a trip late next June (2008). I am hoping to get the airline employee discount which I was told is 40% off rack rates. Disney can't give me much info right now since the 08 rates are not available so here's what I am hoping someone can help me with:

1) Has anyone booked two rooms and gotten the airline discount?
2) Has anyone had success getting this discount on villas this time of year?
3) Do you have to prepay the rooms?
4) What is the cancellation policy?

Thank you so much in advance!!!

Hi! :wave2:
I cannot answer your questions exactly, but I'll tell you my experience. I booked a FW cabin in January for our stay in March, and I believe I got 50% off the rack rate. I had to put down a one night deposit, and then the balance was due 45 days prior to arrival. I don't remember the exact cancellation policy...I am pretty sure you could cancel entirely up until 2 weeks prior to arrival...?? I am not sure though. When I was inquiring as to which properties were available, she gave me a quite a few...I remember there were no moderates available, but plenty of values and deluxe. I don't specifically remember if any villas were available. We loved our cabin at FW!! I was so pleasantly surprised when I called...I sort of thought airline discounts at WDW were gone! (We had not stayed on property since 2001) Anyway, good luck with your booking!!

We got 50% off and booked 2 rooms.....we had to pay $200 upon reservation and then the remainder 45 days prior to arrival.

It's treated just like a package, as far as deposits and cancellations. The villas are included. They are usually the only things left two months out from arrival dates. I recently called and tried to switch (again:rotfl: ) and was offered BWV or SSR. We decided not to switch. Good luck!

You probably already know, but you cannot book 2008 until the packages are announced.

I was just wondering how you all give proof to Disney that you are airline employees? Like, how is this verified? One of my best friends is a stewardess (sorry if i spelled that wrong!) and i was wondering if she could make ressies for friends! wouldn't that be too good to be true??

You have to have your airline fax or mail employment verification for the rate and the airline employee has to be staying in the room as well so your friend wouldn't be able to make your ressies for you, unless she was staying with you.

You have to fax proof to Disney upon making a reservation and then show a photo airline ID at checkin. Sorry but friends can't do it for you.
