Airline deals?

Hubby and I are planning our first Disney trip in March!! Soooo excited. We live in Maritimes and are wondering when we should be booking our flight and when should we expect flight deals? Has anyone gotten a good deal out of Halifax or Moncton for March? Any help would be appreciated.

My travel agent says to wait a bit but I am not so sure. There is a direct flight on WJ once a week from Moncton and possibly from Halifax. I live in PEI and often do fly out of Moncton but with the strange weather we have been having, I am going to fly Char. instead. Sunwing also flies out of Moncton on Saturdays. It is a guessing game. AC had some great prices a week ago. "Hopper" the app said to wait and they have gone up. Kicking myself a bit that I did not just book when they were well under $400.00.

It looks like WJ has multiple direct flights out of Halifax now, we're going on a Tuesday morning returning on a Thursday night in March. But I checked the other day and that same flight has gone up in price by quite a bit. Air Transit has a direct flight option and seemed to be a decent price. Some people suggest waiting but I had a number in mind and when I saw the WJ price I booked. Good luck on finding a deal and have fun at WDW!

General rule of thumb is that prices start going up about 6 months before take off, and start coming down somewhere around 6-8 weeks before - presuming that the flight has not sold out, of course.

This is probably the best strategy. It may not get you the absolute best price but it will be something that you will be happy with.

I've been tracking prices for our upcoming trip Feb 23 - Mar 4.

Prices have started to come down. Not by much yet, about $53 down from last week.
