Since our last trip by air to WDW in 2002, there have been changes in the size and weight limitations for baggage on flights. I do not ever remember any of our bags being questioned in regards to size. It seems that Delta now has a stricter size limit than what i remember on previous flights.

My question being, what or who will actually determine whether or not a peice of luggage is slightly oversize or not once checking in at the airport?

We have 1 peice that is a 30 inch pullman which we used on previous flights that is borderline being oversize by Delta's current standard if you measure from the wheels up to the small carrying handle (not the pullman handle). We really hate to go out and buy another peice of luggage when we may be within the size limits.

Are little guys standing at the checkin counters with tape measures now! (LOL):smooth:

If you check in curbside they usually aren't too picky. But if your bag is overweight as well you are likely going to pay extra for both.

Checking in at the ticket counter is a great way to end up paying extra. They see $$$ signs with large suitcases.
