Airfare Went Up

I am planning a trip for 7/5/10-7/10/10. I have been watching airfare prices for about a month now. We are leaving from DFW. Friday the price was 797.60 for my family of four. Today the airfare has jumped to 957.60. Should I wait hoping that it will go down again? I looked at the flights and they are not very full.

Airfare typically goes up on Mondays...I am not sure of times but there are patterns to when airfares have their lowest rates out. Most people book on Monday after mulling their plans over on the weekend.

We too have been watching prices for that time period (july 2-5ish). We have a wedding to go to, and from what I can tell, it looks like they aren't getting any cheaper. I'm assuming it's because it's a holiday weekend, and the prices are going to get higher. we could be wrong though. I don't know if your dates are flexible, but i have found for whatever reason Flying Fri-Tuesday seems a little cheaper. Good luck!! As soon as my dh gets home we are going to book our flight on Southwest before prices go any higher!!
