:cool1: ooohhh yea !!!!
looking at $48 each way on spirit from atlantic city to orlando !!!!! :earseek:
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO there !!!!

too bad it won't be a Disney Cruise but going to WDW is almost as much fun!!

spirit airlines is my favorite because i can catch a plane 45 minutes away from my house at atlantic city, nj airport
but i saw on the news before that us air and american airlines are also involved...

We paid $115 rdtrip for Chicago to Orlando, on Southwest
Airlines 1/16-1/20, AND Southwest just sent me an email for double rapid rewards and an additional 20% off airfares booked later this month.

:sad2: No airfare wars from DFW. I think we pay the highest airfare of anyone to get to Orlando.

wish i could find something reasonable from Atlanta or Birmingham!! I would love to talk my dh into flying. But when you have to buy 5 tickets, driving 600 miles is cheaper, but not easier :scared1:

any one having any luck from Boston or Manchester NH for first week in April? Prices are very high. :guilty: pirate:

I don't know where you are in NH, but you may want to also look into flying out of Greene Airport / Providence, RI. It may give you some more price options.....and is a terrific airport - we get many former Logan flyers from NH & MA who now swear by flying out of Greene. If you needed to stay over the night before, there are many hotels near the airport, various prices. Just a thought. :teleport:

On what dates are these prices? and from what airports. I just put in my cruise date in late april, and the price was out of control. over $2000 for 3 people, I paid only 800 for us with southwest.

We're flying to Orlando from Newark end of April and Delta wants more money than it will cost us to fly to CA in August on Continental. Where are these 50% discounts?
I want to save some money too!

I haven't noticed that the fares are cheaper. I priced out Delta one way from MHT to PAX for August, they want over 200, from Bos it's about 170. WHat they really did was not lower fares, but scrap a lot of the confusing fares, you know the one where if your name is Mary and you are willing to fly on Tuesday and 7:06am, and return on wednesday at 8:13am, and you have green shoes on when you call, then you get the great fare. They have now gone to 6 coach fares and 2 business class. That is about the same as SWA for coach. They also eliminated the Saturday stay requirement, and dropped the change charge back down to $50.00. The best thing to do is unfortunately, take your chances., Check the airlines websites a lot. Book when you think it's the lowest. Or use cheaptickets.com, they may have lower fares and their service charges aren't too bad.

I don't know if the 2 hour drive from Kingston NH to Rhode Island is worth the trouble, especially if you consider that you add another hour to that for waiting at the airport. Amy, April being prime spring break time, Easter vacation week (maybe not thay week, but you know) the airlines will keep the fares higher. More demand allows them to do that.

I would love to find a really cheapo flight to MCO in February just for a quick fix.

Not sure when you want to go in Feb., but Jetblue usually has some pretty good fares from Logan to MCO. I just checked 2/5 and the one-way was as low as $49, BOS to MCO. I know Logan can be a real hassle (especially compared to MHT), but that is a pretty good deal. If you're talking about Feb. school vacation week, all bets are off......... those prices have been high for months.

That is a really good rate, but I HATE HATE HATE going to Boston. Even just to do the pick up and drop off thing. I am spoiled at MHT for sure. I totally forgot that schools close in February up here, too. See what happens when you don't have kids? The world just goes by...........................

Marsha,

I know Logan is real hassle, but with saving that kind of money on airfare, perhaps you could check on the price of a limo? We live about 40 miles west of Boston, and decided a long time ago that with the cost of parking, the driving hassle, etc., it is WELL worth the cost of a limo whenever we go out of BOS. We prefer MHT as well, but Jetblue or Song usually has the best prices. We got tickets, to CA, on Jetblue for the August repo cruise, for $139 each.

That is a GREAT fare. From here to BOS is about 70 miles. I can't remember how much the van is, I'll have to innocently ask DH, he has had to go there a couple of times. Innocent because he has no idea I am cruising in August with you!!!! And all those other Fools! I think I will go see what is up with Jetblue. I do have Delta Skymiles, I still need to check into that.

ETA - Ed, are you flying into Long Beach?

Marsha,

I'm not sure I even want to know how your DH doesn't know you're going with us on the Fools cruise........

Yes, we are flying into Long Beach the day before on the 11:30 flight from BOS. It's still pretty cheap.... $144

I'm currently looking into renting a car one-way for the 14 day trip. We're used to doing it, and the cost of one airline ticket for one person covers the cost of car and a hotel. That way I can arrive a day early.

When I asked DCL about arriving a day early, they wanted $170 for us to stay at the hotel airport or $50 per person change fee to let us find our own place.

Anyone interested in flying to LAX from Orlando oneway on Monday Sept 5 2005?

A group of us are staying 2 nights after the repo cruise disembarks and we're flying home on a group rate with United on Monday Sept 5.

Would be more than willing to add folks to the group :hyper:

Avoided this thread forever because I knew if I read it...I would get mad....but NO.....l couldnt resist it any longer.......

Ugh at those prices....I am going from Atlantic City to Orlando....bought my tickets 3 months ago and paid 181 round trip.....that just really stinks.....
