What rates have you booked roundtrip from the Northeast to MCO? When is the best time to book? Closer to travel date?

Please provide more detailed info such as hometown airport, travel dates etc.

The best time to book is when you see a rate you can live with. You should be checking as far out as you can. Check daily if you have to. Prices change quickly. Right now PHL should have some good fares because Southwest came to town.

Check the website of the airline you want to fly as well as Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz for ticket pricing. Many times you will find that the airline prices will beat all of these sites.

Follow SAFETYMOM advice on the previous post.

Her first sentence is most important: "find a fare that you can live with". I will add a second step, when you find a fare that you like, immediately book it.

Check Southwest out of Philly right now. They are going to start there in May and have $69 flight to MCO. Unfortuantely we are going in April so can't take advantage of that. Our best rate was Southwest out of Baltimore at $312 round trip, but that is right around Easter.

US Air is also matching SWA prices.

From PHL to MCO

We are booked for May 27th thru May 31st for a RT price of 176.70 per person (158 plus tax and fees)

This is a pretty good price. We booked this 2/14/04.

Good luck in your search.
