Airfare question ?????

I am just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before. I have my entire trip including air for Dec booked through Disney. The flight we were able to get was american and I did not have to make full payment at the time of booking. I received a letter today stating that american has advised them that the price on my flight expires on july 6th and i have until the 24 the pay the full air portion. It is a really great deal (773.73 for the 4 of us). I am just wondering because I was not told that this was a special price that would expire on a certian date. I thought that since I only have about 900.00 left owing that the air should of already been paid. Oh and I have to pay the insurance up front too. I have had this booked since May.
Not sure if I should be concerned??????

No, Airfare is subject to rate changes unless paid in full. At least that is always what I have been told. Also it makes sense that Disney will pay themselves first and the airline last.

We never get travel insurance, as my DH says, if you were dying you would just tell me you would rather die in WDW than at home. Plus we both have our appendix out already.

There is no way for Disney to know when the airfare will increase until the airline makes that decision and informs them.

I have the same letter, I called Dis travel last night once I opened the mail and she said that since I have already Paid off over 1/2 of our $2600 total that the airfare amount was covered and my tickets would be sent after the 24th deadline. It did give me some anxious moments as to wether I would have to pay off the rest of the trip by the 24th.

Hello, fellow Michigander, we got the same low ( I think) rate on AA out of Grand Rapids, Have a good trip, we are hoping for no snow storms the days we need to fly out!!!!!! The things you have to worry about in Michigan!
