Airfare is SO expensive right now.

Eugh, I'm looking at a trip in December right before Christmas, but it's looking like it's going to cost $1500-2000 just to fly us down there.

Gone are the days of $49 airfare on Southwest

Airfares for flights I've checked are showing up at around $90 more per ticket then the "normal" cost I priced it at last yr for the same dates. I'm hoping they'll go down about 3-4 months out when SW comes out for those dates.

Yeah, maybe after summer's over the price of oil will go down, and airfare will follow...

SOUTHWEST Usually has a sale for Fall around August. Last August is when I booked $49 airfare to Orlando for October. We are playing the waiting game too. I have a cruise booked on the Magic for October and I need those fares again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We did just get back from Orlando on a $59 sale from Southwest... So just keep watching....

We did just get back from Orlando on a $59 sale from Southwest... So just keep watching....

I just looked at their website and they don't let you book past October!

I'll check back throughout the summer to see if they have any good fares. $59 is AMAZING right now!

Keep checking back! I am going with a family of 5 from NJ at the end of August. When I first checked with Continental about 3 1/2 weeks ago. They wanted $350 per ticket. I checked back last week and the price had dropped to $220 which included all taxes and fees.

That's great, we like to fly on NWA, Continental and Delta because my partner is platinum elite with Northwest and so we get like quadruple miles or something plus free first class upgrades for those 3 airlines.

"What month is SouthWest up to?", and I was just going to look it up. I will be going to WDW the first week in December.

It's too far out for deals. Most good deals on airfare occur about 3 months before the date you're looking for, so keep that in mind. Right now airlines have their sales for summer.
