Airfare is going up and down like crazy!

I booked Charlotte, NC to MCO two weeks ago for our Sept trip for $205.00. Last week the same flights were up to $275.00. Checked again this morning out of curiosity and they were $335.00 and this is 6-months out.

They allocate so many seats to each price. As they are filled, the price goes up. Sometimes they reallocate seats to lower price categories and the price goes down.

Is this USAir? I've found their prices to be really high. I checked PIT/MCO for June and they wanted over $700, there are quite a few seats left.

I know what you mean I've been watching phl/bwi to mco ( I live in between so whichevers cheaper ) and rates are crazy but we don't go until Dec so I'm TRYING not to PANIC

I was looking last night, trying to decide if we can take a quick trip this spring. The price of a specific NWA flight changed 5 times in a two hour period.



Our Dec. Delta fare that we already booked at $202 was cancelled, and the replacement flight is a whopping $576! Glad we have it for $202!

We bought our October airfare (on Delta) back in early December and paid $535 for the 3 of us. Those same flights are now $1,043 - almost double what we paid!

Well, at least my airfare hasn't gone up! It hasn't gone down, either! We booked our August flights on Christmas Eve, and they are still the EXACT same price. I have been watching December airfare, and it is also the SAME price as the tickets we bought for August.

Last year we booked flights in April for travel in October. Those suckers jumped in price so many times that at one point they were TRIPLE what we paid. Interesting. Overall the cost of non-stop flights from Dallas to Orlando have gone up about $35 per ticket since November of 2004. Once in awhile I see a better deal, but so far we haven't been able to take advantage of any of them!
