DH and I are looking into airfare for our October trip to WDW. What would you consider a good price for that time of year? We haven't flown to FL before, so any info. you can give me would be great.

Thanks in advance.

We always fly to Orlando (MCO) for 49/59 each way. The nonstop airlines from DTW are Spirit, Northwest, Airtran, and Southwest. I usually book air 6 or so months in advance.

I am waiting for prices to come down for our August trip. Right now they are pretty high. If you have time to check everyday it will help. The prices for this past Oct on Airtran and Spirit were both 49 each way, but it didn't last for very long. Also, these prices are not the prices that they email me that there is a deal going on. For some reason those deals are never as good as the ones I find myself.

We are flying from DTW for 49 each way on USAir. We do have to make a connection. I can usually get a nonstop on spirit or airtran for 69-89 but have never been able to get the 49-59 for my dates. We are travelling9/25-10/2

We are going May 4th-11th and I have been searching for cheaper tickets for about 2 months now. The cheapest I can find is through Airtran at $6oo for 3 of us. Try Airtran out of Metro and Flint. Northwest also goes out of Flint. Flint is a nice small airport and things seem to go better here for us. I check daily and signed up with airfarewatchdog.com. good luck:goodvibes

In October 2005 my sister and friend got their tickets on NWA for $138 including tax. We usually fly NWA out of DTW. Flying out of Bishop in Flint usually is more expensive than DTW.

we are flying out the week before you(end of sept), we prefer non-stop(from DTW) and are happy with anything around $200. This time we have to leave at night so had less options, so I cashed in FF mile and were going for $400 for the 4 of us.

Thanks everyone! I will start checking daily. We fly to STL often because my family lives near there and I always fly NW. Since DTW is the hub, I can get some great prices.

We really don't want to drive to Flint since we live minutes from DTW, but if the price is right...

Any other suggestions are welcome!!

I wouldn't fly for more than $49/way, unless I absolutley HAD to! We flew out of DTW near the end of September last year for that price. We been looking to and I was sad to see that I missed an Airtran $27 sale a few weeks ago for Aug, Sept, Oct. :sad1: Last year we bought our $49 seats around June/July though. Sometimes Spirit has really cheap fares. I saw the $49 sale on NW, airtran, and spirit last year.
