I would love to take DS on a mommy/son trip to Disneyland and have begun pricing things out. It seems that airfare alone is going to be the most expensive aspect at about $500/person.

We are closest to Ottawa airport (YOW) but could/would also fly out of Montreal, Toronto, Syracuse and Rochester if the price was right.

From what I understand, flying in to Long Beach or John Wayne would be the closest but Los Angeles International is also a possibility. Not sure about Ontario International or Bob Hope.

I would ideally like to go sometime in the Fall when the parks are decorated for Christmas (but not at Christmas).

For the other Canadians in or around my area who have done Disneyland, is $500/person about what I should expect to pay or have you seen less expensive airfares recently?

We took Detroit to John Wayne(Orange County) with 1 stop for my sons to stretch there legs and eat last November and it was $265 with Delta. I know Detroit is nowhere near you but might be worth while to search out of the states and try looking at Joh Wayne (SNA). It is actually closer to Disneyland than LAX is !

Enjoy ! It is truly amazing to see the original Disney. My boys loved Carsland and I loved the nostalgic atmosphere !

I live in Calgary and prices for us is at least $500/person so that is pretty decent coming from Ontario it seems. I highly recommend John Wayne. It's much closer to the parks and is a smaller airport than LAX so was easy to navigate.

I think $500 per person is a pretty decent price. We can occasionally get it for less than that from here in Edmonton, but I usually budget for around that price.

I would try to fly into SNA or LGB if you can. They are both much smaller and so much closer to Disneyland! And LAX is just such a big hassle. But if it is a lot cheaper, I'd do LAX. I don't hate it enough to spend a ton of extra money ;)

We are going in November from BUF for about $400 pp. We had 1 free flight with SW points.
