We have decided to go to WDW in December and need a little help with Airfare and Car Rental. Is it cheaper to fly on certain days of the week? I have found a fare of $152 Saturday to Saturday from Chicago, but was wondering if I could find cheaper now. Has anyone heard about ATA having a fare of $50 for kids?

What is a good rate for a minivan (or explorer) for a week? Are there any discount rental codes out there now?

Thanks,
vape

Airfares are usually cheapest when you travel on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday. Try TravelSheryl's board, www.biddingfortravel.com under rental cars to see some of the rates that people have gotten on minivans and SUV's through Priceline. I'm not implying that you should use Priceline, but it will give you an idea of what may be available if you decide to do so. I've seen the promotion for ATA's $50 kids fares but I don't know if they are available on all flights. Good luck!

If you're going early in December, the best MiniVan rates I have found were the at Avis. You don't need a code just go to the web site and go to "Avis Deals" and I think they are called "Fall Getaway rates" or something. You should get $179 a week plus $40 each additional day. If you follow the links the code will be put in for you.

Here some Avis Codes to help you:

Avis has updated the following discount code so that it applies to every class of vehicle. Unless there is an overiding promotion or special rate, using this number should save you anywhere from 5-20% in the U.S. and Canada, possibly more internationally. D002807 is the number. Try a quote and see

You people are wonderful! :D I got a minivan for $179 / week. The cheapest I could find before was $250 / week.

Thanks a whole bunch,

Thank you so much for your help! To use this Avis discount code, do we need to belong to a certain organization or anything?

you should come over to the transportation board for all of your transportation help. some people like priceline I myself would never use it for air. I have used it for a car rental and had a good result. what are your dates of travel? what airport would you go out of?
