Hi all! We've been to WDW before so we are not newbies at this, but this time around we are bringing extended family...12 people in all. 7 of us are flying together and here is the problem.

I told me sister that last year around March SW had great deals on flights (like $59 one way). She wants me to wait and see if that comes out again. Right now Delta has a flight for $243 for one set of dates and $273 for another (we're all coming back at different times). When I first started looking the prices were over $300 so I feel those are pretty good prices, but she still wants to wait. What do you all think?

Yesterday Airtran had $27 airfare. It migt still be available for some dates.

Sorry, I forgot to give al the pertinent facts. We are traveling in July and out of BDL (Hartford, CT). No Airtran or Jet Blue. Pretty much it's SW, UsAirways, Delta, Continental and that's about it.

I travel out of NH and we go in August each year. I've found, historically, SW tends to lower its fares late March/early April, at least for NH. Luckily I just bought my tickets the day they opened the new schedule so I'm all set for this year ($69/each way). If I hadn't gotten them that day I was going to wait until March/April. I notice you're in MA. How about Jet Blue or Air Tran out of Logan? or Spirit out of Providence? They tend to have some good fares at times. I have to admit I once traveled to Hartford as they had the best deal. It was almost $200/pp less than Manchester, Boston, Portsmouth or Providence. There are 6 of us so it adds up quick.

We are looking for flights out of BDL for the first week of June (7/3-7/12) and are as frustrated as you are with the $$ of the flights! Last year we booked a Ding ! fare in April (for our July 2006 trip), got $59 one way fares. I am going to wait it out this year -- we fly mid week so that helps a little. Last year's Ding was for the entire month of July.... I am crossing my fingers that something like that comes around. Or that Southwest loses a lot of business because their fares are so high and then they have to reduce prices to fill their planes.

Let me know if you see any good deals!

We are at the opposite end of the state. Albany is almost the same distance for us at Hartford, but my dad refuses to fly out of Albany :confused3 Also, any flights I've been seeing out of Albany have layovers....hours of layovers. I am checking tham though. If it's a good enough deal, I might take it anyway.

Let me know if you see any good deals!

I will!

How is airtran? I have never heard of anyone flying them.
I've heard they are good, but they don't fly out of Hartford.
