OK, after I went to a safety seminar I knew I really should ditch the headphones. For one, you can't hear and two, I saw a scary example of how you can be choked with your headphone wires from behind. YIKES.
Tried running a few times w/o my music or podcasts and it about killed me.
So I bought this -

Good in thought, but after my first short run using these speakers I got a nasty sore on my neck where it was clipped to my shirt. Took a month to heal and now I have a lovely scar right at my neckline.
Sooo, back to my ole' headphones. Then someone (Please tell me who you were!) mentioned AirDrives on here. I got a Best Buy giftcard for Christmas and decided to order a pair. The kid size was on backorder, but they came in less than a week!

I ordered the kid size. One, I'm petite and read the adult size runs big and two, it was cheaper.
So turns out I could have probably ordered the adult size. The kid size fits, but barely. You can definitely hear outside noise. First run it was friggin cold outside so I had on a cap. It was hard to tell if they were working cause my ears were covered up anyway.
Today I was truly able to try them out. They stayed on snugly and never felt like they were going to fall off and none of that popping out like the earbuds. I was surprised I could still hear birds chirping and cars from a few streets over zipping by. So I guess you'd say they work, still I could still be strangled from behind with the wires.
I read people complaining there is no bass, but I'm not a music purist so they seemed to work for me fine. Music sounded good enough, except you could hear wind coming thru your ears from time to time.
Apparently they are approved for the San Fransisco Half this year -

One other thing to note is the kid size doesn't have the volume control on the wire like the adult size, but I tuck my cord under my shirt anyway...
Hope this helps!
