Airbubble on a sericel? how to fix?

I bought a Disney sericel on ebay and it arrived with what I would describe as an air bubble. It it's where the painted part touches the plexiglass. Has anybody ever seen this before? and is there a way to fix it?

I have other sericels and have never seen this happen before. Any info greatly appreciated.

Only the lines are on the front of the cel. The "paint" is on the back and is more likely to become separated by stick to the background. Is it possible the cel itself is sticking to the plexi?

Several years ago WDW Central Shipping managed to destroy many thousands of dollars worth of limited edition cels. This was after a Disneyana Convention and they opened the boxes and added additional packing materials to protect the framed cels from damage. However, this pressed the plexiglass against the cels and this happened in early September. When these items were shipped, both the long distance trucks as well as the local delivery trucks, the heat welded the cels to the plexiglass in an area about the size of a handprint.

Disney had to pay for the cels to be returned and destroyed, and since the master had not yet been destroyed remake the number of cels which had been destroyed and then reship them.

I know I had two in this group, and had a long discussion with one of the mail order supervisors where I found out that the damage was to several hundred cels.

This is now one reason why Central Shipping is no longer permitted to repackage anything coming from one of the Art of Disney stores.

Thanks for the responses. Yes it appears the cel is stuck to the plexiglass and about the size of a hand print. It sounds exactly as Figment described of what happened to it. I am going to ask at the Art of Disney store next week when I am in WDW if there is anyway to fix it.
