Airborne for kids before WDW?

Zinc in Airborne (the On-The-Go packet): 8 mg
Zinc in a Quarter Pounder with Cheese: over 16 mg

Personally, I'm taking the kids to McDonalds.

But my kids don't like quarter pounders with cheese.

But I do agree handwashing is the most important thing. Also teach kids not to touch there mouth or face.
IMO, the most important thing is to teach them what to do when they are sick, or sneeze, or cough.

Way too often I'll hear the tell tale sight of a youngest sneezing near mom without anything over their mouth (it does make a different sound), and the mom (or dad) doesn't say anything, a little "oh honey cover your mouth when you do that". Now I can often excuse kids if they're not taught, or heck it might come on all of a sudden and they're too young to realize they're about to.

So rule cover your mouth/nose when you sneeze cough

Better, sneeze/cough into the crease of your elbow, so that everything you touch doesn't have your germs on it.

BTW, I realize this won't help your kids personally, but it will help me and everyone's kids and then maybe your kids won't get sick as a long chain of events :rotfl:

You do realize that juice is not really healthy don't you? It's sugar and an adult should not have more than 4oz a day.

Its true that juices have a lot of sugars in them but its natural sugar, not high fructose made from corn which is horrible for you and found in most other drinks except water!

Naturan vitamin C is far superior to synthetic found in most vitamin tablets.

I could get real fat and die of a heart attack or stroke by eating qtr pdr 3 or 4 times a week..or take a zinc tablet...tough decision..i love qtr pdr's though. I guess I will just have to exercise the qtr pdr off. I like that better.

Get new kids. You can have mine. Cheap.

Edit: That won't work; mine don't like QPC's either. Well, you can have them anyway.

I think Vampires on an airplane would be a bigger concern than they would be at WDW. You know, confined enviroment, no where to run, etc...... ;)

That's why I don't fly at night. :3dglasses

I was going to post about the lawsuit too but you did it so well. So wanna bet .3 mil that it does work?

LOL! Not taking that deal. :lmao:

We don't do anything except make sure to get our flu shots, more to prevent bringing something home from school in the days just prior to the trip.

Best thing you can do to keep everyone healthy leading up to the trip is make sure that everyone stays well rested, hydrated and eating healthy. Getting run down, stressed out will compromise your immune system faster then anything. Along with that a good multi vitamin wouldn't hurt. But I don't think Airborne qualifies as a good one.

Once at WDW I felt myself coming down with a cold so I bought Airborn at the gift shop. I had to keep taking it but I feel it saved my vacation. Now, when I travel, I pack zinc tablets and Cold FX. I also put tea tree oil, under and in my nose when I'm on the plane. It's anti bacterial, anti fungal and anti viral. It seems to help.

Wow. All this high fructose corn syrup vs. fruit juice, vitamins keeping me from getting sick talk is kooky. Wash your hands after you use the restroom, and get enough rest. Stay clear of visibly sick people. Don't waste your money on gimmicks...
We are TOO clean. That's why we are allergic to everything. Let your dog lick your baby in the mouth, pick that paci up off the floor.

Saw the cutest video on the news this morning - a giggling baby feeding a dog Cheerios! And then eating them. And then giving the dog some more. Then getting licked on the mouth AS he's eating them... :lmao: That kid's immune system should be bulletproof by the time he's grown up!

But I agree. Wash your hands. Eat your veggies. Take Vitamin D if you live way up North and never get any sun. Don't give money to snake oil salesmen.
