What is the best airboat ride that you would likely see alligators? We did Boggy Creek last year, but only saw one.

Wild Florida Airboats, hour ride with them is less than half hour at Boggy Creek.

We loved Wild Willy's. Its a full hour long tour, and the boats only hold a small amount of people (I think it was 7 max) so everyone has a great view. Staff were fabulous, so knowledgeable and friendly. We saw gators and lots of other wildlife too. They have an actual office/shop/store with restrooms, and baby gators that you can hold and get photos with after your tour (no extra charge).

It was about 45 minutes from Orlando, but an easy drive (they will give you excellent directions that will ensure you avoid all tolls).

They also provide ear protection :thumbsup2 .

Wild Florida had many many alligators - as big as 14 feet or so right beside the boat - and we loved you could make more of a day of it- touring the little zoo beautiful boardwalks through marsh areas to walk on-- take a picnic lunch or buy there. We bought tickets at costco.com - emailed paper tickets then you can call (I emailed that works too) to make your time/day for ride. People there were so friendly.

We went to Wild Willy's as well a couple years ago and held the baby alligator in the shop- the airboat ride was great- lots of birds but we only saw a couple of baby alligators -- Wild Florida is now my favourite for the same price range get a lot more.

Gina, I contacted WW, they said six was the max they could take, there will be seven of us. Your picture shows a larger boat.

Ah, that's too bad. We went at Christmas 2012, and I know our boat had six it (our family of 3 and another trio). I didn't realize you had a larger group.

I think the boat in my pics just looks larger because of the striping on the seats. The decorative striping doesn't properly show the seating, as 3 adults will fill one bench.

Gina: now that I look at the picture again, I can see that it would only seat six. On the World of Citrus tour did you see any alligators. We will have one of our sons, his wife and three children, the boys are 14 and 16, we thought they would really enjoy the airboat, but they may enjoy the WOC tour as well.

The first time we visited Showcase of Citrus, we didn't see any alligators at all. The second time, we saw the presence of two (movement in the swampy areas) and the flash of one of their heads, but not a full clear view of one.
