We're leaving for WDW on 1/1. Our 20 month old grandson is coming with us on his first trip to WDW. He had major surgery in August for a sever clubfoot. He's doing great but still needs to wear a brace during the day and the shoes with the Dennis Brown bar at night and for naps. My questions is has anyone gone through security with the shoes with the Dennis Brown bar in your carry on? I'm worried about checking it in case anything happens to the luggage. He really needs to wear it. What do I do? or How do I find out if I can carry it on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ohare is such a busy airport, i bet thy have seen everything! TSA has a web site, maybe you could e-mail them ? I wouldn't check it, just in case.

You are allowed to carry medical equipment with you on board as carry on and it does not apply to your carry one limit. If it makes you feel better bring a letter from the doctor stating the need for it, but that should not be necessary.

Thanks. I did check the TSA website and from what I read it looks like we should be able to bring it in our carry on.
