One question, I remember in the days of old when flying charter flights from Terminal 3 (read Skyservice) there was no US customs at Terminal 3. Can anyone confirm the customs process now from Terminal 3 when flying on either Air Transat or Sunwing to Orlando. I don't like the sky high Airfares on AC, yet can't stand going through US customs in Orlando. 2nd Question: If there is US customs at Terminal 3, any NEXUS Kiosks? Thanks.:confused3

Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 have the US customs Pre-clearance area for all flights bound for the US. All airlines that fly there go to certain gates at the terminals. It doesn't mater what airline you use. It is actually done more to help out the US customs facilities then it is to help you as a traveler, by doing customs in the airport of origin they can then treat you like a domestic passenger and focus on travelers coming from further destinations then Canada.

Thanks, now I have more flight options.

Anybody know about Nexus kiosks at T3?

Simple walk thru process, however ALL flights go through the same customs line, so be prepared for long lines, that's why they tell you to arrive early! It definitely speeds up the process for us.

Should I expect long lines for a 6:30AM departure? If so, that will be a very early start....:scared:

I don't think you should have too much problem at that time of the morning as those are usually amongst the earliest a flight can take off.

Thats right. I took a 6:30am flight to MCO w/ Sunwing last November. I got to the airport at 4 am and had to wait for the check-in counter to open! Check-in/security/customs lines were quite minimal.

We have a 6:30 departure as well... and always have, and the new customs line was long, depending on the time of year you go... we were January. We spent most of our time waiting for them to open, as Little Flounder has said, I was glad we were there early, because if we showed up and were at the back of a line, waiting for them to open, potentially you could miss the flight as you check in, take your luggage with you thru customs. There was no time to sit at the gate.
