we are going to Disney over Easter and have been watching flight prices which are horrible obviously that time of year is busy. we saw a deal once on air tran a couple of weeks ago but by the time I went to book it, it was gone. right now it is at $275one way. does anyone know if there could/would be a chance that the flights might go down? we have a family of 5 and paying almost $2500 in airfare is a lot. we don't know about Southwest yet, but then we are talking about driving to chicago (we are in Milwaukee) and the weather is iffy then. I could drive to chicago and get jet blue but then we need to fly through JFK and with it still being winter, that could risk a lot seeing that their weather is worse than ours lately. any thoughts?

BTW, we did drive last year and it was horrible only will do it again if we really have too. with 3 kids (2,6,8) it's really hard to do.

Holly, At this point since Airtran and JB have released their prices the best you can hope for is a sale or SWA. The sales seem to be about three months out-so you might still have a shot there and possibly when SAW releases their dates. I do not know what airport is closest to you-I am driving to a small airport 1 1/2 hours away and I am saving $800 on 4 tickets. Are your dates flexible? If so, I would try for SWA out of Chicago and hope for a ding too. You can also register for a farewatcher. I like www.itasoftware.com or www.kayak.com for searching. Good luck-things are more expensive this year. And I hear you about the winter weather(I'm from ALbany NY)-besure to get a direct NS flight

HEY our counters are the same!!!

Last year, we flew SW from Chicago to W Palm Beach for $55 pp ea way. I'm hoping to catch that type of fair again once SW posts their rates. Depending on when you leave/return, AirTran is $99 one way to MCO or $79 to Tampa. I'm looking for 3/18 - 3/28 or so. My dates are still kind of flexible. Where are you staying? We're POR.

The SW rates come out on 11/8 - I've got it marked on my calendar.
