I spoke to a Mindy today at AirTran. She was very apologetic and stated that the credit mix up was in no way my fault. She assured me that my flights were not cancelled and that all was well. She said she was very sorry for the conversation with Cheryl and the rude way I was treated. She said that was not at all the normal manner of AirTran.
I was releived to receive the apology and I asked for verbal assurance that Cheryl would not get into our reservations and click on anything that would mess it up for us. She assured me that Cheryl would not get into our accounts or reservations. I told her I was very nervous about these flights and that I only wanted things to go perfectly.
She asked if there was anything else and I said yes. I had checked flight times last night and they were different from when we had booked. The new times were going to keep us from our plans that first night in Disney. She looked at other flights that could handle all of us and changed our reservation to a flight earlier in the day.
She also tried to get us a better flight for going home but those are booked pretty solid. She suggested that I keep calling as there may be more openings in the future. She did say that AirTran changes flight times, I think she said about once a month, so that I should keep checking on them.
I also received a response from my email to public relations. It was very conciliatory in that it tried to smooth my fuffled feathers. The email also stated that my letter would be forwarded to the proper departments.
So for now we are settled. I just pray that the flights go off as scheduled.
I am pleased that Air Tran took the time to listen to my complaint and that everyone, except Cheryl, has been thoroughly pleasant and professional.
