Air Tran is very easy to deal with...

I had posted earlier that they have changed our return flight, it had original left at 8:05 pm, that flight was canceled altogether and we were now coming home at 5:55pm. Well that really cuts your last day short. The new flight that leaves at 8:00pm has a lay over in Atlanta and we would not get into Phila until well after midnight.
So I called Air Tran to see if we could fly home Sunday morning @ 8:00. They changed all seven of us to the 8:00 am flight, no fees or increase in fare (which has gone up quite alot since we booked). If there would have been additional charges it would not have been worth it to change.
I booked us at the Days Inn at the airport for $39.99 a night, not bad, and they have a free shuttle to the airport. So for our last day we can stay at the parks, take the town car to the Days Inn and then return home on Sunday Morning.
Air Tran was very easy to deal with, the gentleman that I talked to was very helpful and courteous. And I got an e-mail right away with the itinerary change.
What started out to be a bit upsetting has worked out well.

I was so glad to see your note, Helen! We flew Air Tran this past December and may take them, again, this fall, if the price is right. It's nice to know they'll help you out, like that, if your flight changes. I haven't heard of too many other airlines making the change and not charging.

How did you find out about Days Inn? Did you make that reservation online?

They did a similiar change for us when our return flight changed. I've been very pleased so far.

I found the Days Inn, at first through AAA, by doing a search for Orlando Hotels. I then went on Days Inn website and the price was the same as AAA as Days Inn is running a promotion.
The hotel looks nice, they have a heated pool, and there is an IHOP connected to the hotel as well. The shuttle is complimentary so to me $39.99 is a pretty good deal.

They changed a flight on us about 2 years ago but switched us when I told them it wouldn't work for our schedule (they had us leaving 3 hrs earlier than original time.)

They are a great airline to work with or at least we have never had any bad experiences with them whatsoever.

Thanks for the info, Helen. I've copied and saved it, just in case we ever experience a change in flight. The free airport shuttle is a HUGE bonus as far as I'm concerned.
