I was goofing around on the Airtran website, looking at flights this summer from Philadelphia to either Las Vegas or Orlando. I have a credit that expires in early October.
To my surprise, it does not show flights to either after about August 9th. It refers you to look at Southwest for those dates. Of course, I know SW bought AirTran. I was just on the phone with SW last week, and asked about when the transition would come for Philadelphia, and the rep said she had no idea. Maybe I am in error, just wondering. Of course, Aug 9 is also the last date you can currently book on SW right now. Maybe it will all become clear on Feb. 4 when SW releases more flights (thru Sept 27).
Has anyone else noticed this? My concern is that if there is no Air Tran out of Philadelphia, how would I use my AT credit? (I would be happy to use it on SW, not sure of that would be an option). Has anyone else had an AT credit to use after AT switched over to SW in their local airport?
I am a fan of SW, and will be happy when this switch is made.
