DH and I booked our trip on April 9th. We receaved our confirmation yesterday. My question is when do we get our plane tickets, sence we have already paid for them.

Please help! :confused3

You can use your confirmation # to check in online. If you don't get your eticket and want to check in at the airport you can bring your confirmation and photo ID and check in. Either way you'll get your boarding pass at the airport. But if you're worried you can give them a call.

You won't get your tickets. You get what is called an E Ticket. All you need is your confirmation number (which is the E Ticket). You can use that confirmation number to check in online or to check in at the airport when you get there. All you need to check in at the airport is your government issued ID.

The first time we had E Tickets I was really worried that I missed something... but I didn't. I had booked over the phone and they would not even send me a receipt (Sun Country).

If you can view your itinerary online at airtran.com and have the confirmation number, that is all you need or will get.

Have a great time!

I don't believe Air Tran issues paper tickets at all. Some airlines will issue paper tickets for an extra fee, but when I had to file an insurance claim for a cancelled trip last fall, I thought I read that Air Tran was completely ticketless.

I agree that what you have is an E-ticket. AirTran does not use paper tickets. The code on your confirmation is all you need. It is likely a combination of letters and numbers. Once you get within 24 hours of your flight just go to airtran.com and pick out your seats. I believe the site will ask for your confirmation number and your departure airport. It will then load up a screen showing the inside of your plane. The seats will be color coded so you can see which are taken and which are open. Very easy and convenient to use. After you pick out your seats you can print out your boarding passes. Even if are not able to print out your passes definitely pick out your seats before you get to the airport. You can then get your boarding passes either at the AirTran counter or one of their airport kisoks.

Thank You for you help.
The Confirmation we received was from disney for our trip.
We didn't receive confirmation for the plane tickets.
Do they use the same confirmation number.

I also ask because my DH has a fixed Right leg (he is unable to bend it)So when we recieve the confirmation I need to call Air tran to arange for special seating.

Thanks again for your help.

This isn't quite true. I'm a Travel Agent, and if we book someone on AirTran through our GDS system, it generates a paper ticket. If we use the Travel Agent portal on their website it's an e-ticket. We go by price. Sometime we get it cheaper using our system as opposed to their website. :confused3

I booked airtran through Disney to get the special pricing they have been offered recently. I recieved my paper tickets in the mail about 10 days after booking with the Disney agent.

I am a bit concerned as I have never flown Airtran and with paper tickets I won't be able to check in online and choose seats 24 hours before. I hope all is well about sitting with my kids when I check in at the airport.

We also booked Airtran airfare through Disney's CRO, and only received the Disney confirmation number.

The Disney agent specified that they would be paper tickets (not e-tickets) but she wasn't sure when we would receive them. (She was also somewhat surprised they were using paper tickets).

Our trip is in September, so if it gets within 3 or 4 weeks and I still haven't gotten the tickets I plan to investigate at that time.

From the Airtran website I found:
*Please note: If you originally booked your reservation through Expedia, Priceline.com or LowestFare.com, please call us at 1-800-AIR-TRAN for assistance with your reservation.

Maybe the above applies to Disney booked reservations also.
