Air Tran..anyone have a crystal ball??

So, I'm about ready to book my flights for May on Airtran. I know in the past they email codes for $20 off every so often. Last year I used these to save $120 off my flights... But I can't remember when these vouchers came out. I know they did this special at the 1st of the year. Anyone want to take a guess when and if they will do it again? I will be so mad if I book and then they come out with this promotion again.

I booked my AT flight in Feb and today I looked and it was $52.00 cheaper. I would wait for both a cheaper flight as well as a possible coupon. The good news is they gave me a credit for $90. Not sure how they came up with taht number but I will be using it for my free dining trip in October

I wouldn't try to time a promotion. If you see a price you are willing to pay then book the tickets. Chances are just as good that the price will go up and no coupons will come out. Where are you then... Up a creek. Just like one shouldn't try to time the market, don't try to time airline prices and promotions. Pay what you are willing to pay, be happy and don't worry about it.

Ok, I asked the magic 8 ball.... "should I book the flights now" and the answer was; "maybe".

I know I shouldn't obsess about the rate. It's just that the last 2 years I got such ridiculously low airfare now I'm spoiled!!!

Cute! I've gotten spoiled too with the low rates. I just booked airfare for our family of 5 and spent $245 more than I ever have.
