Air Passenger Duty Refund

Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd mention this for anybody still waiting for their refund. I filed my claim in Dec 08, albeit 4 people for one return flight, so not very much to come back ............... received a letter last April asking for a signature on the back of the form, which I duly completed and returned ........... twelve months on still nothing! Sent them an email yesterday and was told the claim wasn't valid because the flight was purchased on the 17th May 06 which fell after the cut-off date of March 06 when indeed the flight was booked through VH in 05 and we flew on 17th May!!!!

So just wanted to say if you haven't heard anything drop them a line and make sure they haven't made a mistake. I know it's only a few quid but all those "few quid" add up! Certainly better off in my '10 holiday fund rather than accumulating in RB's wallet.

I got a letter saying neither of my flights qualify. I'm positive at least one of them does but can't be bothered with all the hassle would take to fight it for the small amount I might get back!
