Air Miles Tickets to Annual Pass question

We have a pair of Disney Park tickets (redeemed from Air Miles) that I am planning to exchange for Annual Passes in December.

I was wondering if Disney will give me the full exchange (5 day park hoppers) of $330 for the tickets, and then charge me the extra $$ for the remaining cost, or if they pro-rate the tickets, as they are from Air Miles, and charge more.

As far as I can tell, these are the exact same tickets that are given out at the ticket booths, with no identifying marks that they are not straight from Disney.

I haven't tried it myself, but there are many threads scattered through these forums that discuss this, and all indicate that the policy on tickets sold by a third-party vendor is to credit the gate fee for those tickets at the time of the exchange. It's called "bridging". If you Google "Disney ticket bridging" or just search for "bridging" here on the DIS you'll get plenty of relevant results.

The important thing to do is use at least one day of the ticket. Also if these are for WDW and not DL then I don't believe these are hoppers. Check and know the price of a regular 5 day MYW pass. This is the price to be bridged.

These are for DL, not for WDW, and yes they are 5 day hoppers. I double checked.

Why is it important to use one day from the tickets? I have not been able to figure out this one?

I am in DL for 7 days this trip, another 4 days I'm Feb, and again a week in Sept. I figure for the extra cost of around $250, I get 18 days in the parks. I am not a extra magic morning person and we do love to stay late into the evenings.

I have upgraded Airmiles DL park hoppers to annual pass with no issues. Just know that it will take a bit of time at the ticket booth, so if you are arriving the night before your first park day, it might be a good idea to pop over to the ticket booth that night.

We had no issues doing this. WE were mindful of what the cost SHOULD be though, so were sure we got the full value. No issues at the window and no questions on the tickets origin.

Thanks for the information.
