My son wants to come 'home' for Christmas. My parents would use their Air Miles for the trip but we don't know if it is worth using them or not.

I am looking for advice from people who have used Air Miles to travel. We are talking 3220 airmiles from Saskatoon to Toronto and return. The cash we have to put out is almost $200 for taxes and fees. It is about $650 for this flight with Air Canada.

What are the pros and cons please. Also, this is over half of my parents Air Miles. Mom and I are also considering WDW in the spring. Should we use them for a spring trip instead. We have been talking about flying out of Buffalo next time, just throw another option into the mix.

I just don't know what to do.

Now I waitpopcorn::

I am bringing my children and spouses down to Orlando at Christmas using airmiles. It costs 2300 airmiles/person but I got 25% off because I pay $95.00 extra for a BMO Mastercard which gives me 1 airmile for every $15 spent but I really like the 25% off perk. I will cancel the $95 fee until I use up a lot of airmiles again. I used 9200 for the 4 of them. It is expensive to travel at Christmas time. I would let your parents use the miles as they probally would like to see your child as much as you do
