We have a reservation for a AKV 2BR Value room and thinking about an air mattress to add a sleeping surface for a kid. Where can you put it in the room?

Only if you don't plan on opening up the sleeper sofa in the living room. You are limited to eight people in that villa.

We don't want to fit 9, we are 8, we just want to have more sleeping surfaces so everybody isn´t forced to share.

I know this post is a few months old, but I've been thinking about the same thing. There are 8 of us, so we could fit in a 2 BD, but I'd like to give some folks their privacy. I'm planning: my mom and sister in the studio; my niece and boyfriend on the pullout couch; my hubby, me and 2 school age kids in the master. I just hope that's enough privacy for my niece and boyfriend - I've got to see what she thinks.

You could put the air mattress next to the master bed. Or put it in the master bathroom if you'd like more privacy.
Or in the living room if that works for your situation.

Where are you putting your two kids?

a single air mattress fits great in the "hallway" area against the door in the studio (2nd bedroom). Make sure to put a beach towel under it so it doesn't slide around on the tile floor. We have b/g kids and do this all the time.

They will be 6 and 8 when we go next and should be fine sleeping together on a full or queen air mattress. Thinking the master bathroom (in front of the sink) so they can get to sleep and hubby & I can relax.

You have a value two bedroom villa at Jambo House? The entire villa is about three feet shorter in depth than the standard or savanna.

If you put the kids in the master bathroom area, will your niece and her boyfriend need to use the master bath area after the kids go to bed? Or will all of you use the second bathroom instead while the kids are sleeping?

If it is a reg 2br at AKL they have 3 full size bathrooms no need for the niece/boyfriend to use the bathroom in the master bedroom. There is a full size bath by the door to the room a cross from the washer and dryer

AKL 2 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms are only at kidani village. OP says she has a value 2 bedroom, which is only at jambo and has 2 bathrooms.

We have stayed in a jambo value 2 bedroom and the master bedroom is tight. Not sure an air mattress will fit in there. We only had 4 people in the 2 bedroom, so we had plenty of room.
