First let me say that it will be 6 adults and 2 kids in a 2BR. (1child 5, other 7months).
Since it will be me, my DH, and my 2 kids in one "group", my parents in another "group" and Dsis and her DH in the other, I'm trying to figure out sleeping arrangements.

We originally thought , me and DH get master BR w/ king bed and keep baby with us in pack & play. Dsis and her DH would get the fold out in the LR. DParents would get queen bed and my DS would sleep in the fold out with them.

After thinking about it, DF snores......badly! DS may never get to sleep if he stays with them. I don't need a cranky tired 5 year old for the WHOLE vacation. (Some of it we can understand ;) )

Since we are taking the family ....for free and putting us in major "point debt", I am a little reluctant to switch rooms with parents. I really need that tub and king size bed!!!! It's been a stressful year!

SO, can I fit a twin size air mattress and a pack & play in the master bedroom?

BTW, do we get sheets for the pack & play? I know there aren't blankets so I will bring them, but is there a sheet for it?

Thanks for any advice!

We haven't stayed at BCV yet, but I'm assuming it is similar to Boardwalk? You could probably put an air mattress in the master bedroom, you would just not have much floor space. Would DSis and her DH consider sharing with your parents? If so you could then put DS and the pack and play in the living room.

Regarding the pack and play, it has always had a proper pack and play sheet in the rooms we've stayed in. There usually is an extra full/queen size blanket but your little one is probably too small to use that, so I would bring one from home. I actually usually bring a pack and play sheet as well. It doesn't take much space, and DD2 had very bad acid reflux so we had to change her bedding in the night more than once. It was nice to have a back up sheet so I could wash in the morning and not worry in the middle of the night how I was going to fix her bed.

Hiya Stimpy,

I can answer part of this. Yes you can fit the pack and play and the air mattress (since it's a twin, larger would not fit) in the master bedroom. You'll probably be stepping over and around things, there won't be much floor space left, but they will fit, one on each side of the bed.

I don't know about sheets for pack and play though. My kids are past pack and play age, but since I saw one in the closet when I was at BWV in September (in a one BR) I feel confident it will fit. And we had an twin air mattress with us that trip, so I know first hand that it fits in the Master bedroom. (It also fits in the LR by the way, though I imagine your kids will sleep with you and not your sister and her hubby, I figured I throw that in in case someone else reading this thread was curious.)

BTW, I was not overloading the room. It was just me and my two girls. My older daughter sleeps with TV on, younger one doesn't, neither do I. So older one got the pull out in the LR, younger one "camped out" with me on the air mattress in the bedroom. Next two ressies are 2BR, Yay!

Stimpy,

Would you consider having the 5 year old share a bed with you and your DH?

I know some people don't want the kids to get use to sleeping with the parents.

In any case, we have gotten bed rails from housekeeping and put DD in the king bed with us. DH got the other side and I, of course, got the middle!

We have even had 2 kids in bed with us!!! This was when the girls were small and refused to sleep in any other room but ours. Now that they are older, we will be opening up the sleeper sofa in the LR and letting them both sleep out there.

for that many people - I think you would have been happier at OKW.

but yes you can do it - it will be crowded.

or you can change with your parents - and tell them between such and such you need their tub!!!!

Who bathroom will be shared with the Dsis and DH?

Yours will be easier for them to get too - if it is still yours.

remember you are coming back to WDW for years.....

Please let us know how the air matress fits. We have 4 kids, always get a 2 bedroom, but the kids would each love to sleep alone (spoiled I know!) I was considering getting an air matress for the youngest, twin size of course. DH HATES it when she ends up in bed with us, she turns totally sideways! We own at BCV and recently stayed at OKW, just bought VWL points so next trip will be there. I'm not sure where we would put the air matress, especially in the smaller units like BCV size. Thanks in advance.....Lacee We are furtunately past the pack and play stage :)

You can easily fit a twin aerobed and a pack and play in the master BR. We put a twin next to the bed on the window side with room to spare. IIRC, there's room for the pack and play at the end of the twin (opposite of the King headboard which is where we put our suitcases)...or to the left of the TV unit (I think there is some kind of chest there at SSR...but you could move it.

The air mattress will fit easily into the master bedroom if its a single. I'm hoping I can also fit an air mattress in each of the other bedrooms in the grand villa at the boardwalk as my family will have three guys in each room who would not appreciate having to share even a queen size bed. We are also under the limit for the unit but some people just like their own bed. I'm sure we will find away to make it work.

We're in a similar situation as we're sharing a 2BR with my in-laws on our upcoming trip. I would have loved to have the master bedroom, but it just made sense for us to take the second BR and let MIL & FIL have the master. That way, we'll have room for the pack & play or air mattress (haven't decided which one yet) either next to the windows or in the closet area.

We are a family of 6 and always take a full size aero bed with us. It fits in the living room next to the pull out sofa (after some slight rearranging). That way all of our kids get their own bed. They usually argue over who gets the aero bed.
