Air mattress at Pop

Has anyone used an air mattress at Pop Century before? What size and how was the fit in the room?

We tried a twin AeroBed for 11yo (DD doesn't sleep well with others...) and it didn't work. There was just not enough space for the bed and the table and the chairs. She had to sleep w/ DH and it was the final determining factor in the "deluxe resorts only" policy. (which, I might add, became the DVC policy...)

We are staying at the PoP and have good friends that have stayed there twice and I have heard their is NO room for those also.
So if you think you might need the extra room better to book Mod resort or better.

Stayed at Pop last week and used a twin air mattress. we moved the table and chairs over in front of the door and put the mattress against the wall. If you don't move the table and chairs you will not have enough room. My 3 kids took turns sleeping on it so everyone got their own bed. We propped it up between the bathroom wall and bed during the day.

We thought about moving the table/chairs in front of the door, but then had a panic moment about what would happen if we couldn't get out in an emergency. It just wasn't worth it to us to fight with it.

We have reservations at ASMO for December and we were thinking the air mattress thing. Is there room to put table & chairs between the TV and closet area so air mattress can lay where table & chairs are now? Can't remember from our last stay in Feb 2005.

We used a twin air mattress last summer at POP, we put the table in front of the window and the chairs over by the sink/bathroom area. Propped the mattress up against the wall during the day. Plenty of room, no problem with emergency exit (DH is a fireman). We have 2 teens (girl & boy) and with just 2 double beds, it was essential for comfort for the week we were there. If it was just a night or 2 we would make due, but more than that...those double beds are just 2 small.

Does a twin air mattress fit any better in the king bed rooms at POP?

Ditto the above comments. Just back from POP and there just isn't enough room without moving some furniture around. Even then, it would work but would be really cramped.

That said, you might be able to get a twin air mattress on the floor in front on the window from the door to the table or at the foot of the bed but there would be no walk room so need to make sure no one has to get up in the middle of the night or they need to be the one sleeping closest to the bathroom so at not to trample the person on the floor.

Our Dniece is still young enough for a "ready bed", which is a bed/sleeping bag combo (her's has the princesses on it). That fit just fine between the door and my bed. She was very cozy.

We have used an expandable camping pad at Pop C before. It worked fine placed at the end of the beds.

Our Dniece is still young enough for a "ready bed", which is a bed/sleeping bag combo (her's has the princesses on it). That fit just fine between the door and my bed. She was very cozy.

That is what I was planning on for our almost 3 year old. They say you can fit a pack and play so I did not even think it may be an issue for that ready bed to fit. I got nervous when I read that the twin air mattress did not fit. I did not think a twin was that much bigger than a ready bed.

I used a twin air mattress for my DD7 at Pop. I had to move the table and chairs near the window but it still worked great. In the morning I just propped it up alongside of the wall and moved the table and chairs back. Even on those days I forgot to do this, Mousekeeping was so great that they 'made up' my daughter's air mattress anyway. It was a pleasure to tip them!

It *is* a tight fit but workable.

Yes a twin matress can be used. You just have to move stuff around. Lots of people do this.

I don't think the ready bed is quite as long and I think that makes a big difference

I have done it at the All Star Movies before with my two best friends. We went for a girls only trip and decided none of us wanted to share a bed after the hot August days in the park.

We brought a queen size air bed with us. We moved the table and chairs in the closet area (and there was still room to hang stuff up above them) and put the air bed at the bottom of the bed close to the door. It worked like a charm. We just leaned the bed up against the wall during the day for more room!
