All I can say is thank you to whoever invented air conditioning:worship:Im already tired of sweating and it is only June :scared:

And just think, I will be subjecting my family to a sweat fest vacation to WDW in July :scared1:

No need for AC here anytime soon. Temps are barely 60 with no sign of any really heat anytime soon.

Im miserable....it is so humid here. (Virginia) I dont know how anyone can live with the heat. I must be a huge baby....bring on fall:cool1:

Yes, the A/c on my car went out and the estimate is over $1700! :scared1: It's a good thing I have another car to drive during the daytime!

Hey, Kerri:wave2: I completely understand your misery. We are new to the NO VA area and the humidity is certainly something. I'm from Arkansas and have seen it pretty bad. I just ddin't tihnk it would be like this up here.

Last month our air took out during Memorial day weekend. Absoultely miserable in our house for a week. Apparently it was an epidemic because everyone waits until it's hot and their a/c doesn't work to get it properly checked. I won't make that mistake again!

I am amazed that I never use my A/C... usually I am shirtless in gym shorts (that's right ladies) with fans but too lazy to turn on A/C. Having to pay the bill doesn't appeal to me much either.

I sure wish I was sweating. :sad2: I think we've broken 70 only a few times this year.

Ive only lived in Virginia a year now, and let me tell you if I knew about the heat I would have wanted to move somewhere else. LIKE ALASKA!!!!!

If global warming takes on full force--just shoot me, because I will not make it.

Is there a smiley blowing a raspberry--

I would eat top ramen all year just to have air conditioning....no joke:confused3

We actually have only used our AC one night so far this year, and that was only because I wanted to make sure it was running properly before we hit a heat wave.

We have ceiling fans in every room and try to use our shades to keep the sun out during the hottest parts of the day. It really hasn't been that warm here anyways and just this week the humidity picked up but it isn't bad yet and cools down enough at night.

In prior years we would have the ac on from mid May through end of Sept and not turn it off, but we are really watching our budget this year and honestly, we don't need the AC nearly as much as we thought.

I am soooo with you, Kerri!!! The heat index today is 105+, and it feels like I'm going to burst into flames every time I walk outside. The boss LOVES this weather (I work for an A/C company) and I know that hot=more business, but I'm just dying. :faint:

What I wouldn't give for some 60 degree temps!! Oh well, only another 5 or 6 months...

DH smirks at me everytime I say "Geesh it's hot" and then we get home and go "ahh..."

I resisted getting central air installed in this house (Bought it in December with 2 window AC units, 1 up, 1 down) and the bill to get it installed was 9k. He now smiles and goes "worth every penny, eh?" and sadly I have to agree.. :rotfl:

Totally off topic of air conditioning..but your little guys is just precious! Congratulations!!

My fam hates me in the summer 'cause I'm not in love with using A/C. Once it hits 90, fine, turn it on. But yesterday it was 80 and they turned it on. I flipped it off the second I walked in the door. When they whine "I'm hooottt" I point to the big pool of water in the back yard and tell them to jump in it. WTH? We never had central air growing up. We got in the pool, got out, got back in when we were hot again. It's summer, they have nothing else to do!

You southerners...you know I'm not referring to you and your gawdawful climate. I remember visiting relatives in VA and FL as a kid who didn't "believe" in using A/C at all. Good Lord! We spent entire visits standing in front of box fans!
