We will be staying at ASMo in September (first timers!). Can I safely assume that rooms have air conditioning?

Welcome to the DIS!!

Yes, all the resorts have air conditioners.

Of course they have air-conditioning! Each room has it's own air unit and you control it. The first thing I do when I check in is crank up the air in my room! Disney is big on air-conditioning! You will encounter it everywhere. I find that in some cases it's down right frigid. If you are cold natured you may want to take a light weight jacket with you for anytime you might be indoors for any length of time.

I kind of figured they would have A/C, but then I thought that maybe they're called "Value" resorts 'cause they leave out a few amenities. Glad to hear that A/C is not considered a perk for people with somewhat deeper wallets!

Thanks for the advice about bringing a jacket/sweater ... I do tend to get too cold when the A/C's on.

Yes! When we stayed at ASMO last year I found after coming in from a day at the parks, hot as it was, I had to lower the AC (raise the temp) because the maid had left the room colder than I like. This happened every day. So if you like it cold, youre all set! :)

I almost always have to leave a note on the A/C unit telling them not to touch it, as they often make it WAY too cold. I usually write it in English, Spanish and Creole, so hopefully I'm covered :)

Please do not touch, No molestar por favor , Non touche silvouple!

One warning, you CAN'T turn the airflow off at the All Stars. You can set it warmer or cooler, but you can't totally turn it off. I think some of the moderates are like this too, and the bathrooms at SoG have this problem with the fan as well.

I was in one room at the All Stars that the AC unit made a lot of noise, and there was nothing htye could/would do about it. At least at SoG they came and disabled the bathroom fan--it doesn't vent to the outside anyway! :)

we were at akl last year and while we had air of course it really wouldnt get cold enough for us. my wife and i are hot natured so we just thought it was us but after reading this post i think it was the ac. we have never had trouble getting it comfortable at other resorts. oh well, only 11 1/2 months late figuring this out! ha!
